• What is AnyTrans?

  Any Trans is a file management app for Android and iOS devices. Billed as a more user-friendly alternative to iTunes, this software offers a range of custom options and the freedom to transfer non-Apple files between a device and a computer.

• How is AnyTrans different to iTunes?

  Apple's tendency towards restricting full customer access to their devices and software means that iTunes users are often unable to fully manage their files. Any Trans attempts to correct this by allowing simple transfers between device and computer, including custom back ups linked to official Apple cloud services.

• How does AnyTrans work?

  Once downloaded and installed, Any Trans connects to an attached Apple or Android device. From a simple user interface, all available files can be modified with a selection of menu options. More complex operations, such as browsing an iCloud update file, are done in a similar manner.

• Is AnyTrans free?

  Any Trans is available as a free trial version or as a one-time purchase in either single or multi-access version. While the free version has the same functions as the paid alternative, a fairly strict limit on daily file transfers make it primarily suitable as a trial.

• Does AnyTrans work for all devices?

  Any Trans currently supports any device running an Android operating system or Apple's iOS. This includes all models of iPhones, smart accessories such as watches, and iPads. Any number of devices can be managed by a single account and can access files between each one.

• What does AnyTrans do that iTunes doesn't?

  Any Trans can access all data on an Apple device. This allows users to, among other things, manage and transfer texts, voice mails and contacts, save non-Apple files such as music and audio books, edit and manage photos, and change how a device is updated/backed-up.

• How do I transfer between two devices with AnyTrans?

  Attach both devices to a computer via USB and start the software. All attached devices will be displayed at the bottom of the window. Files such as music or photos can then be simply dragged across or, for multiple files, selected from a list.

• Can I use my iPhone as a storage device with AnyTrans?

  As Any Trans treats devices as a drive, files which an iPhone can not usually access can still be saved. This turns an Apple device into a storage drive, but a similar system will be needed to then access the files again from another computer.

• What systems does AnyTrans work on?

  Currently Any Trans is only available for Windows and iOS laptops and desktops. Mobile devices cannot use the software. No current plans exist for a Linux or similar version.

• Is AnyTrans safe to use?

  No malware or viruses have been found within the Any Trans installer or the software itself. A small file is saved to a computer which then is used by a user. Automatic updates can be enabled or disabled according to preference.
